KIRBY

I've been a massive fan of the Kirby series since very late 2018 and early 2019 after re-investing into Kirby Star Allies and falling into its rabbit hole of 'lore'.

Over the years, I've grown enamored with the series far beyond the initial wonder of its "dark lore", and find it being my biggest artistic inspiration and muse. I have so much to say about this enduringly cute, comforting, and beautiful series and the passionate people behind it - mostly on its worldbuilding, characters, and unique styles of storytelling - but there is really too much to adore about it.

The only mainline games I haven't finished are Amazing Mirror, and Squeak Squad (Epic Yarn too if you're a believer), and a few of my favorite I've replayed up to 5 times.

Kirby Headcanon Bible Minisite!

A somewhat wiki-ified take on my Kirby Lore Doc (below). This one is more formal, having the most finalized takes on ideas presented in the doc and more, but it's also missing the still tangled ramblings from there.

Kirby Piss Lore Doc

This doc has been the dumping ground of my Kirby Headcanon for nearly as long as I've been a fan of the series! When the site first went public I also for funsies made a more formal version (above), but this is where all the ideas, coherent or not, come to rest.

Planet Popstar Geography Powerpoint (2019)

The first (general) powerpoint I made on Kirby as part of a 'Presentation Night' I stayed up all night to make. Of course in the end I was the only one who committed, so I was very proud of my work ethic that day. Nevertheless, it was incredibly fun to make and gave me lots of fun ideas about the planet and the Kirby universe as a whole.

Everything About Galacta Knight Ever Powerpoint (2022)

My magnum opus in Kirby Essays! The thesis for this one actually goes back to 2020 when I was in the prime of my Powerpoint kick (most are too personal to most here sorry), but the scope of it made me fall off. Those Galacta Knight collages I made originated from this project, so finally finishing it and giving them a place home was very fulfilling.

A lot of the context and details of this site isn't there without my active presentation, but it makes me wanna expand this into its own essay. Specifically, using Galacta's appearances as a microcosm to explain what I love so much about the writing of the series.

Kirby Heardle Essays:

The long-since defunct Kirby Heardle by @NotBovo on Xwitter was a highlight of my life in 2022. I had lots of fun reacting to and discussing the songs in my thread, but every now and then I decided to expand upon them on Tumblr like here.
